Cold Storage has origins dating back to 1903, when the owners brought the first ice cream to Singapore. There are now more than 20 supermarkets island-wide, giving utmost importance to the freshness of products and quality of service. Some stores are found in prime locations and prices are generally steeper than other local supermarkets. The spacious, clearly marked aisles and price-tagged merchandise make for easy browsing and pleasant shopping. Many expatriates come here for a decent range of obscure Western goods, including all sorts of cheese and European bread. Online shopping is also possible.
